Makedonia Airport: Your Gateway to Northern Greece

Thessaloniki Airport (SKG), officially named Makedonia Airport, is the main aviation hub of northern Greece, serving Thessaloniki — the country's second-largest city. Also known as SKG Airport, it was formerly called Mikra Airport. It lies just 13 km (8 miles) southeast of the city centre, so it is very easy to reach. As the third-busiest airport in Greece, SKG has been managed by Fraport Greece since 2017, with major upgrades, including a new terminal, that have turned it into a modern, comfortable and easy-to-navigate airport. It now handles around 8 million passengers a year (a record reached in 2025).
